Barn Golf Sim, Castle Rock

Built a Golf & Multisport Simulator in a large Barn in Castle Rock, Colorado

Ryan T in Castle Rock, Colorado wanted a golf simulator in his barn. He wanted it to look and feel awesome and easily capable of righties and lefties. He also wanted some fun games for the kids to play and have enough seating for enterntainement for sports and movies.

We went with an overhead Uneekor EYEXO launch monitor for high accuracy and easy lefty/righty use, a TruGolf Multisport simulator for fun games for the kids, and a bright, 4k BenQ LK936ST projector for a great image on a 16x9ft screen for excellent entertaining and fun.

His barn had 16ft ceilings, massive lights, and a ton of windows so keeping ambient light off the impact screen would be a challenge. The concrete floor also had radiant floor heating so we couldn't drill into the concrete. There was plenty of power available and wired internet.

Having control over the lighting is important for any golf simulator so you get the best image on the screen as possible. I decided to build a full ceiling and sidewall as the "enclosure". The ceiling would hold lighting for the golf sim, the overhead launch monitor, the multisport simulator, sound bar, and projector. The ceiling would also block a lot of the shop lights and sun light coming in through the windows.

The ceiling and wall design was approved by a structural engineer since we couldn't drill into the concrete due to the radiant floor heating. My construction team built the ceiling and wall. High voltage and low voltage wiring was ran in the ceiling and side walls as necessary. After wires were ran, then the walls were drywalled and painted by my team.

Finishing off the simulator with installing the components, laying down the subfloor and covering the whole floor with putting turf and cutting in a hitting strip. After installing all the software and calibrating the sensors, Ryan was ready to play golf with his friends and family!
